Hi there,
I’m Steven, aged in the mid of my life, living on this planet with a beautiful wife and two lovely children. Although I was around the time, the internet went mainstream, I never managed to switch from a consumer to a producer of content. The same holds true for web 2.0 (I remember a simply local Facebook clone, which was sold for ~60M), YouTube, Instagram and also more futuristic content platforms like SnapChat or Tik Tok. What a shame.
I missed big time on a few other opportunities which could have given my life slightly alternative directions. The given order ist not reflecting any amount or regret or whatsoever.
- Bitcoin, although a friend of mine in 2010/2011 mentioned it and even bought “mining hardware” then: Essentially he bought a graphic card. All four of us were not capable of grasping what will happen to this asset in the next 5-7 years.
- As some of you: Not started investing into the stocks market as soon as possible. I would have had the 25€ a month from age 18 oder 20 on or so. It would have been a financial difference now. And an even greater one, once I’m sixty.
- In early 2007 I started playing online poker, while the boom was still to come. I cashed out a small five digit sum in late 2010.
- …
In my free time (hate this word, there ain’t no free time, only life time imo) I like to ride the bike or play with my kids, cook and eat with my family. Mow the lawn or regularly have a beer or good glass bottle of wine.
This blog is organized around hobbies. One is coding amateur software. So, as I’m an amateur, do not expect any great support nor great code unless you hit the donate now button multiple times. (have to code it first..).
best regards,
Steven
